“It’s really difficult to get through to the [Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency] and to get benefits.
“It’s the bartenders, the servers and I’m sure many other types of workers getting hurt. The ones that our governor will call low-wage workers. But she doesn’t take into consideration that we make a living from our tips. So we might not get a large hourly wage.
“However, in my case, I make a lot of money waiting tables. Obviously I can’t do that now.
“I don’t think she really cares about us or Michigan. I think we’re just a stepping stone for her career. She is using Michigan to try to make a name for herself being tough and firm, while we all suffer.”
