Stop Whitmer’s 140 Fee Hikes Totalling $27M

Michiganders are suffering and small businesses are struggling to get back on their feet, but Gov. Gretchen Whitmer wants to hike 140 fees to rake in $27 million.

Whitmer’s fee increases hit everything from health care to drivers: hiking eight different fees on mammograms and X-rays, increasing the fee for looking up a driving record, as well as charging Michiganders more for a traffic crash report from the state police.

Michigan workers are already trying to recover from under one of the nation’s worst jobs climates. A budget hiking fees on basic services only adds insult to injury.
