Protect Michigan whistleblowers

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer just vetoed a bill that would protect state workers who expose waste and mismanagement in government.

The bill passed the Michigan House and Senate unanimously – with bipartisan support.

Why would Whitmer not want whistleblowers protected? Without protections for whistleblowers, government accountability and transparency suffer, and so do taxpayers.
